This week will be in picures(mostly)
It's the best that I can do
Because remember I'm a mommy first
I had kids home with the flu
So although I love my classroom
And my students are the best
My heart and mind were home with mine
Trying to get better with some rest
I still sit here listening to coughing
And the sniffling and the sneeze
But never fear, your kids still had a week
Filled with fun, education, and ease
The 100th day was a succes
With lots of help from you
The rest of the week we worked so hard
Learning about family and community too
The coming week we work some to learn
About black history and more
We will enter a contest and decorate
A stop sign on our door
The first stop sign you see was created in fact
By a son of former slaves
We will celebrate his accomplishement
And much more in the coming days
Enjoy the pics, some may be hidden
Because a special day is coming near
In which you will receive, some lovely things
From the children you hold so dear

The Video of the week: ( This is more for parents, to show you how my room is set up and why)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APY2akeZPLk
Parent Question:
"Why aren't you using the smart board?"
Well, unfortunately technology "blew" in our face this week...yep, my bulb burnt out! My principal is working dilligently to get me a replacement loaner next week until the district can come back out. I promise we will be back up and running soon. But the kids adapted very well to the new method of teaching, sitting around the laptop! Almost all our curriculum is online so we are kind of, in need of the smart board for most of the day.
Class Challenge of the Week
Learning to teach without the smartboard/projector!!!! :)
Getting outside resources is another challenge right now. I am
trying to help parents in the classroom receive outside help from
agencies. I am seeking further info from the district and hope to have a
list put together soon. If you have any resources you wish to share PLEASE do so...either here or email me!
SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!
