Waiting again....
OK, so this week we did lose our second para that had recently joined us. I can not say how or why because I don't know and maybe it is for the best for everyone involved. I can say we will have another one soon and we will welcome him/her with open arms. What a fun week we had though. Apart from all the learning we are accomplishing, we changed our room setup! It looks so much better and really is more conducive to learning. This week the boys all blew me out of the water with their growth. They all had their first math test and got perfect scores and some of my children that don't use that math curriculum completed a patterning test with me and got that right 100% of the time as well. Good job boys!!! We also read our Book of the Month, delved deeper into PCI and our Unique Learning System and worked on social skills. Enjoy the pics.

| Book of the month! Grace for President. I think the boys would be great candidates too ;) |

 |
| Hi Andre! |
 |
| Chris is seriously hilarious.... |
 |
| Nice David! Your right, whiskers go there. |
 |
| Five pumpkins in a tree! |
 |
| Notice how the previous work with teacher table is now turned protecting the smart board projector. I then put two tables on either side for the children to sit around for circle. Having the table in front of them really helps them stay in their seats until called up to the board. It promotes turn taking, appropriate behavior and listening skills. Also we can all see each other because of the shape. |

Class Video Of the Week!

Class Challenge Of the Week:
Using our electronics safely
Class Goal Of the Week:
Reorganize the room to better suit our needs
Parent Question of the Week:
"Can you teach second grade too?"
I find this questions to be funny! And right now a funny question is great because our class has been through a lot in these 9 weeks. Can I teach 2nd grade...yes. Will I....probably not. I really love pre-k. It is where my heart and soul is. The children are young enough to be impressionable, mold able, and I can still do all my art/crafts/activities and not have it get in the way of academics. While the children in my room still have plenty of academics, I love being able to drop everything and do a craft. I also feel like I was put on this earth to be a voice for children that can not speak, or don't know the right thing to say. So on that note, can your kiddos stay with me in K-1 next year? I would LOVE to keep them! Seriously, I am so thrilled to have had them as long as I have ( some since February) and we still have quite a few months to go so no worries! Let's finish out fall, have an amazing winter and spring and continue to watch your babies grow up!
