Class Video Of the Week!

Class Challenge Of the Week:
Introducing our new student to the room and our two new paras!
Class Goal Of the Week:
Get everyone working on the same page.
Parent Question of the Week:
"Should I get my child an Ipad or a NOOK for my child to communicate?"
Great, insightful question, and also a question I have pondered myself. Thanks to Abbie's Ipad, I have been able for a week to use both in my classroom. I find that Nook is much better as a learning tool and a book resource as opposed to communication. I think the Ipad offers so many more programs and can really be used as a much more advanced form of communication. The apps range from FREE to thousands of dollars. The "Cadillac" as they call Proloque, is for students who have really mastered communication and are able to independently communicate their wants and needs through a program like that. Again NOOK is wonderful and is a great resource in my class, it is a reward, a learning vessel, and great for book read alouds. But if you need communication, I think the Ipad is the way to go...and be consistent. That is my two cents for what it is worth!
Can't wait for a new week!!

This is great! I love being able to see some of the weeks activities and what's up and coming. The kids are so engaged in the photos. Well done, keep it up, and we can't wait to help out where needed.
ReplyDeleteAwwww thank you so much for responding!!!! I have only a few parents that have the chance to do that so thank you. Means a lot... :)
